Every
once in a while a new and unique band comes along. A band
that does not fit into the classic, "wedding or bar mitzvah"
mold. A band that is just set up to give you great dancing
music for any event. Dirty Jack is that band!
Based loosely on the sounds of Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd,
and receiving their inspiration from Jack Nicholson, this
band is now and here to stay.

Exactly who is Dirty Jack?
Jack Jr. - Drums/Percussion/Backing Vocals
Ahhhh… my protégé. This boy rocks from the ground up. An animal on the drums (like me with the ladies, heh) he’s been playin’ the drums since he was 12.
While he went on a 13 year sabbatical from playin’ to recover from a drum-jammin’ overdose in the late 80’s he’s been back these last few years with a vengeance! What did he do for those 13 years he was off? Well… rumor has it he was taken in by Tibetan Monks in a Himalayan Monastery where he used his scientific genius to create a super endowed spot-remover called “Jack-Be-Gone” …the product is currently endorsed by Monica Lewinski.
Jr. uses Pearl drums and Zildjian “K” series cymbals.
Joy - Lead and Backing Vocals
Joy rules the roost when it comes to hard work and talent. Having roots in music as choir girl in her local church, my girl wanted to try her hand in jammin’ with live musicians and music. One of the best additions to my band, I can’t tell you anything else about her… or I’d have to kill ya! :-)
Kevin - Lead and Backing Vocals
Currently billed as Jack Jr’s tougher, older and dare I say… wiser, brother “Jumpin’” , Kev began his singing career in his middle school choir. From there his career took-off with gigs in the shower, car radio’s and singing into all things that even remotely resembled a microphone (Bic lighters, felt pens, various vegetables…).
In the mid-80’s Kev joined a local classic rock band and for the first time enjoyed the fame and fortune that comes from being the lead member in a garage band.
The ultimate “sugar-daddy”, Kev gave up all that fame and fortune for many years to play husband and rear rug rats in the confines of a quiet suburban life.
Now Kev fronts MY band. My boy had “The Itch”, yet again, to sing to more than just the steamy porcelain tiles of his bathroom wall, and ol’ DJ was there to scratch it.
Influenced by KIX, Journey, Styx, Zeppelin, Floyd, and Rush, this boy has stepped up in a big way to rock the house on my club circuit conquest.
Michael - Lead Guitar/Vocals
My boy Michael has been playing guitar since he was 14… I ain’t sayin’ how old he is now but dude can still wail…
He started off as a classical musician, then a stroke of genius infected him and he began focusing on classic rock guitar. He continues to be inspired by the likes of Aerosmith, Van Halen, Joe Satriani and blues players like the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robben Ford.
He has played in numerous bands throughout his musical career but ain’t none of ‘em rocked the way my band does… and that’s the fact… Jack!
Michael uses Carvin, Peavey, Fender, Musicman and Line 6 equipment… oh! And did I say the dude can wail?
Mike - Bass/Backing Vocals
Influenced by the likes of Geddy Lee, Steve Harris and Jaco, Mike’s derelict alter-ego, “Honz” has been playin’ bass for 24 years and been on a steady diet of 80’s rock.
Honz is the baby of the bunch and while I looked hi and low for him, I had to get past that weird look he always has on his face before I hired him. Once I got to know the little dude, however, I find him to be quite humorous… this guy makes me laugh. But you almost have to see this look he always has on his face to get it… it’s hard to describe… sort of quizzical… as if he is thinking… “Have you seen my baseball?”
Mike uses a turkey baster, dental floss, an auto-sequencing hydrometric non-linear flux capacitor and lot’s of baby oil.
Honz, however, uses Carvin amplifiers, Fender and Traben guitars and Line 6 effects giving raving fans that little extra “thump” in their chests.
Dave - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Dave is a cool-cat singer/songwriter that joined my band just after completing his first solo CD, Undertow. You could say music is in this boy’s blood. At 13, Dave got his first “boom box” and got his first taste of what we now refer to as “Classic Rock”. Purchasing his first guitar, a ’66 Gibson SG (also used by Angus Young) Dave began performing to himself in his bedroom mirror (brings back my own air-jammin’ memories). Later, as his guitar talents grew he started to be influenced by the likes of Pink Floyd, REM, U2 and Neil Young… but became obsessed with Led Zeppelin. While we all become obsessed, Dave’s obsession was just twisted… we understand the restraining orders imposed by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and even the late, great John Bonham are up for renewal early next year… A true fan of the fan, Dave’s main interest is making sure you have a great time listening to great music.
While he doesn’t share Mike’s affinity for baby oil, Dave uses Gibson, Taylor and Schecter guitars with Marshall and Fender amps.
