The world's fastest rising band has been playing virtually ALL of the prestigious events in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area...Looking backward, here are some of their venues, beginning with last week:
"Street Vibrations" Reno's annual motorcycle event that had the "Biggest Little City" closed to thru traffic. Thousands of bikers from everywhere came to enjoy this happening, and Artie and the Boys knocked 'em out once again with their raw, gutsy brand of sophisticated wildness.
"Harrahs Plaza Reno" Following on the footsteps of Ray Charles and Chuck Berry, who had appeared in previous weeks, Art Dekko and the Blazers rocked the socks off and amazed all of DOWNTOWN RENO with their versatility. Performing in Harrah's new state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater, The Blazers eclectic repertoire was full of surprises...perhaps a funky version of Hand Jive, followed by a blistering rendition of How High The Moon with their tribute to Les Paul.
"The Reno Hilton" This was an elegant $100-a-plate convention in the Main Ballroom for the Heating and Cooling Contractors of America. This was a different Art Dekko and the Blazers: Dressed in formal attire and augmented with a horn section and Keyboardist, the band played delightful standards and show tunes for Dinner, Presentation of Awards, and Dancing.
"The Singing Divas" Another feature with Art Dekko, is their amazing ability to function as a reading contemporary backup band for other acts. This was a double-bill International concert of Philippine pop legends, Kuh and Vina Morales, held in the Reno Pavilion and attended by an estimated 5000 people. The Blazers demonstrated their ability to play Top-40 with powerful authenticity.
"Weddings" This summer held many spectacular ones, and Lake Tahoe might be called the mecca for glamorous weddings. Art Dekko has done as many as 60 weddings a year! A typical format might be: a Classical trio, or Quartet for the ceremony, an elegant Jazz group for the reception, and a versatile Dance band for the festivities! Art Dekko and the Blazers do it all!
ART DEKKO and the BLAZERS Basic Personnel:

"When we're on stage as ART DEKKO and THE BLAZERS, we don't take anything serious except our music," says Artie. "We'll do just about anything to loosen up the audience."
