THE HEAT IS ON! is an explosive one-woman theatre piece based on the life of Rita Hayworth, which examines the life, loves and career of one of Hollywood's most electrifying screen sirens. Starring Quinn Lemley, who bears more than a passing resemblance to the Love Goddess. Written by director Carter Inskeep, choreographed by Michael Louis and arranged by SWINGTIME CANTEEN'S Bob McDowell. THE HEAT IS ON! Chronicles Miss Hayworth's infamous marriages to Orson Welles and Prince Aly Khan, her turbulent relationship with movie mogul Harry Cohn, and her final struggle with Alzheimer's through Miss Hayworth's intoxicating movie music, dance and storytelling. Ms. Lemley brings Hayworth's glamour, wit and vulnerability alive while backed by a red-hot quartet (piano, bass, drums and trumpet) led by musical director Bob McDowell.
