 Jessica
Sierra always dreamed of being a star. Armed with fierce determination,
a spitfire personality and an undeniable voice, she set out
to make this dream a reality. While Sierra has always been
a star in her own family, at the mere age of 21 this Tampa,
Florida native has now achieved national acclaim.
Jessica Sierra began singing in church at the age of 3 and
hasn’t slowed down since. Growing up she seized every
opportunity to perform for crowds. As a teenager she was part
of a song and dance ensemble that performed for the President
of the United States and toured nationwide. She was also a
finalist on the CBS telecast Star Search; however, Jessica
Sierra is best known for her Top Ten finish on the television
phenomenon American Idol.
Sierra proved her star power to the world by wowing audiences
with her American Idol performances. The number one rated
series reached an average of 30 million viewers per episode
and tallied a record breaking 500 million votes. Season 4
was touted as having the highest ratings and the best singers
of any past Idol season. Drawing consistent praise from the
judges, Jessica Sierra was labeled as one of the best singers
in the competition.
 Sierra
speaks highly of her American Idol experience, clearly enjoying
the opportunity to showcase her talents on the national level.
Competing on American Idol is an exhaustive process where
contestants prepare each week to sing new material, perform
group numbers, shoot television commercials, make public appearances,
and constantly interact with the press. As an Idol finalist,
Sierra toured nationally with her fellow contestants, including
appearances at the Coca-Cola 600, an extensive Simon Mall
concert tour, and this summer’s 44 city, sold out American
Idol arena tour. The American Idol Season 4 album, which includes
songs from the top 12 Idol contestants, features her single
“Total Eclipse of the Heart” and has sold over 600,000
units to date.
