Event Entertainment News You Can Use
Featured Tips: Your Themes...Your Entertainment!
March / April 2007

Picking up on last issue's article on Techniques for Brainstorming: Managing One's Inner Self and Tips for Bringing One's Creative Thoughts to the Forefront, the question no begs to be asked ...where are your meetings and events musically going?  What entertainment will best support your theme?

The answer can come from many different areas of trends; from SuperBowl Commercials, to major motion pictures to award programs.  Take the Grammy’s for instance which aired their award ceremony on Sunday February 11, 2007, or The Oscar/Academy Awards two weeks later.  From these two different televised award programs you may be able to build your current programs around for, as Tower of Power would ask, “What is hip,” for this year.

The wonderful thing about event entertainment is that if it is successful your guests can get transported from their trials and tribulations to the world you have created for them, albeit for four hours, but a different world none-the-less.  So a goal of managing the creative process for meetings and events is to enrapture your attendees and to, “Leave your troubles outside.” --Joel Grey, from the Broadway show as well as from the motion picture, Cabaret.

Good luck in your creative thinking and theme building.  As Carlos Santana said upon being accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, “Let the music set you free.”
