Angel
Mark 5:21-43
"Angel" tells us about the search for healing from within and the need for the heart and soul to be loved, forgiven, and accepted. Jesus does this for us. For instance, doctors who only focus on our physical needs are not as good as those who see us as a whole person. Sarah McLachlan sings of both a physical need to be held and loved and our spiritual needs as well. The song is a prayer for healing that can only come from God.

Angel ~ Sarah McLachlan
Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it okay
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day

I need some distraction or a beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
Let me be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of the Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room and the endlessness that you feel
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escape one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of the Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room and the endlessness that you feel
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here

In the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here

NOTE: Angel was sung live by Caitlin Trost as a eulogy at Frank's funeral held June 1, 2003 in his home town of Weirton, West Virginia.
